How do I sign up?
To start realising the benefits of AutoCarLog, simply fill our your information in our easy signup page.
How much does it cost?
AutoCarLog only costs a once off subscription fee. You can choose between six months or one year. The latest prices are found on our signup page.
Can I use it for free?
Absolutely! AutoCarLog gives you the opportunity to use it for free by referring your friends. Simply get three people to sign up using your referral code and you can use it for free! They don't even have to be your friends!
If you sign them up in the first two weeks, we waive your subscription fee. If you sign them up after the first two weeks, we extend your subscription by six months.
Does it cost me any extra to send you an SMS?
No, AutoCarLog does not use a premium SMS number, so you do not pay extra to send us SMS.
You may still be billed the normal SMS rate from your provider depending on what plan you are on. AutoCarLog uses an Optus SIM card, so you may be eligable for free text - check with your provider.
Do you store my credit card details?
No, AutoCarLog only sends your credit card details via our secure gateway to Westpac. We do not store any credit card details at AutoCarLog.
Using AutoCarLog
How do I send in a new trip?
At the end of each trip, simply text in your odometer reading and either B (Business) or P (Personal) to 0413 CAR LOG (0413 227 564).
AutoCarLog will automatically add the trip to your logbook and calculate the distance since your last entry.
For example "33908 B" would mean a business trip ending at 33,908Km
AutoCarLog doesn't care about capitalisation either, b works just as well as B and p is the same as P.
How do I send in a trip using email?
Alternatively you can email it to log[AT]autocarlog.com with the code as the subject.
Can I add trip comments?
Yes. Any text after the purpose letter is automatically stored as a comment for that trip.
For example "33908 P drop kids off at school" will add a personal trip ending at 33908Km with the comment "drop kids off at school".
What if I made a mistake?
That's ok! AutoCarLog ignores messages that are incorrectly formatted. Otherwise, send in the word "oops" to 0413 CAR LOG (0413 227 564) within 10 minutes of your mistake and AutoCarLog will remove your last trip. Or, you can login and edit your logbook online.
Can I use AutoCarLog from multiple phones?
Yes! You can setup up to five mobile phones or email addresses to work with your logbook. We call these "senders" and you can update them at any time from your senders page.
Privacy
Why do you need my mobile number?
When we receive a new trip via mobile, we verify your phone number against your logbook account to ensure your trip is only added to your logbook.
Why do you need my email address?
We use your email address as the primary means of communicating with you. You can update how we contact you at any time in your account page.
